About Us
Established in 2005, The Western District Skin Cancer Services (WDSS) is a multidisciplinary skin service for the people of Ballarat and the Western Districts of Victoria.
We provide Superficial x-ray Therapy treatment to skin cancers and some non-malignant conditions, as well as skin checks and biopsies in a brand-new fit-for-purpose clinic in the medical precinct of Ballarat.
Under new management since December 2018, our entire team is committed to providing an exceptional service to our patients and their family, with timely access to care.

Geelong Clinic – Get checked!
It’s important to get your skin checked regularly so that you and your specialist get to know your spots. Over time moles can change and it’s vital to identify any suspicious changes as quick as possible.
No matter your skin type or background, everyone benefits from getting a skin check.
To be seen by the GP for a skin check or mole mapping, no referral is required. Either call our Geelong clinic, or check appointment availability via our online booking system. Please note, skin checks are not performed at our Ballarat clinic.
