The WDSS treatment team
Western District Skin Cancer Services has a wonderful team of specialists to deliver your Radiotherapy treatment. Our team consists of a Radiation Oncologist, Radiation Therapists, Nurses and Practice Manager, who makes sure everything runs smoothly.
All radiation therapy staff are accredited with AHPRA and holders of Radiation Use Licenses from Victoria DHHS.
Our x-ray machine is Licensed by the Victorian Department Health and Human Services, Radiation Safety Department.
Our multidisciplinary medical team work closely with their surgical and medical colleagues to ensure the most appropriate treatment is delivered. With the clinics team having over 100 years combined experience, you are in safe hands.

Dr Maitham Mathlum
Maitham is a specialist Radiation Oncologist with significant experience in the management of skin cancer and treating with Superficial X-ray Therapy. A 15 plus year resident of Geelong, working across a number of local hospital groups, Maitham is passionate about caring for his patients and offering rapid access to personalised care.
Susan
Susan has been Practice Manager at WDSS for over 19 years. She will greet you with a smile & endeavour to make your experience at WDSS a positive & enjoyable one.
Dr Maitham Mathlum
"Michael is a specialist Radiation Oncologist with a keen interest in malignant and benign skin conditions. Originally from Brisbane, he has made Geelong his home since 2024 and hasn't looked back. With a down-to-earth communication style, Michael makes sure that complex medical information is explained clearly, helping patients feel informed and confident in their care."
Vicki
Vicki is a Radiation Therapist with many years experience and a wealth of knowledge in Radiotherapy. She keeps up to date with the latest advancements and is passionate about providing patients with excellent care. Vicki will make you feel comfortable and confident during your treatment.
Kirsty
Kirsty has been a Radiation Therapist since 2006. She has a variety of healthcare experience and is passionate about patient care. She is knowledgeable and approachable, serving in multiple areas across Victoria.
Michelle
Michelle has extensive experience as a Radiation Therapist, having worked in multiple radiotherapy centres in Victoria & interstate. Michelle is passionate about providing the best possible care to her patients during their treatment.
